The CCN Daily Worship by Pastor Don. Roy Hemingway.
Gooooooooooooooooooooood morning brethren, May the Almighty God of hosts be with you this morning and thank you, for joining us here at ‘The Church of the Christian Nation’ for worship and praise. Let us begin as is our tradition every day here at the Nation, by reading from the word of God. Amen.
Psalm 19. 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth His handiwork.
2 Day upon day uttereth speech, and night upon night showeth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.
4 Their sound has gone forth through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath He set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is Thy servant warned, and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse Thou me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent of the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer.
Dear Father in heaven, we thank you for the blessings you give us in our daily lives, for it is through your gifts and work, and through the sacrifice of our lord Jesus, that we can believe and be saved. Protect us here in our household. Let us make allowances for one another in love and spare no effort to maintain unity in the Spirit through the bond of peace. Grant us new strength and new gifts whenever we need them on the path you have set for us. Grant that we may rejoice and trust in you until we reach the last day and then gather us to your household for all eternity. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
(12) Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
(13) Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression. (14) Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
David showed no hostility toward God, and he tried hard to change whenever he could see that he was wrong. However, he could not always see it. For instance, David stole Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah, and she became pregnant. After conniving and cheating in an attempt to avoid the consequences, David intentionally arranged for Uriah to be killed in battle.
Incredible as it may seem, David did not see how terribly wrong his sexual immorality in both his thoughts and actions was. He broke both the spirit and letter of the law. Not until the prophet Nathan brought him to his senses did spiritually blind David realize his sinful behavior.
Nevertheless, we cannot judge David too harshly, since our vision is likewise clouded regarding many of our problems. It is hard enough to recognize and admit the problems we can see, much less the ones we cannot. Rather than judge him, we can actually identify with David.
As we come to the beginning of another day and ultimately, the going down of the sun at its end, may God reach out his mighty hand to bless all who are keepers his Sabbath and His word. Have a wonderful day brothers and sisters, take everything to the lord in prayer and may we serve Him and Him alone all the days of our lives………
Numbers 6:22-26. 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
22 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
23 “Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, ‘In this way ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them:
24 The Lord bless thee and keep thee;
25 the Lord make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee;
26 the Lord lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.’
May God bless you all and ‘The Church of the Christian Nation’, Amen.
Please remember this morning, the young children of the IDFWO organisation in Israel, which is the focus of ‘The Nation’s’ current fundraising. Your donations can make a real difference to the young lives of kids who just want to grow up with a chance to make a start in life. Please help us to help them. Thank you and God bless you.
