Our war has begun, but how should we fight it?

By Pastor Don Roy Hemingway.

Islam is undoubtedly the enemy of all decent people, civilised humanity and the sworn enemy of Almighty God and His children who love Him and have returned to Him through Jesus the Messiah.

In most circumstances, where the Western powers and democracies have been threatened by savage and inhuman ideologies, we have simply trotted out our superb military forces and quite literally, within days, the agressor and challenger to our basic freedoms and cutural way of life is vanquished and has iether died for his cause upon the field of honour, or has turned tail and run for his life with some haste, either way, our way of life is preserved and the forces of good have conquered evil once more. Why then is it not so simple with Islam? After all, the slime of humanity matches up perfectly with all we have faced and faught in the past such as the likes of Naploleon and Hitler. The average Islamic savage is adept and well practiced at taking human life wherever he finds it, he is an accomplished terrorist, paedophile, sex trafficker of young girls, slave driver and sheep thief and rape is second nature to him as is the practice of drinking Camel urine and Goat humping. However, instead of trotting out our military might to destroy the wanton savages to halt their global debauchery, our own mad politicians have opened up our borders, thrown open the gates of every city and town and invited Muhammed Alahu Akbar to take a giant crap all over our green and pleasant land. What then are we to do, those of us that is, who are not sweeping off the dust of centuries from the welcome mat for Muslims? I had a thought on this question and this is where it led me, I pray it may be of use to many who will read it.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

War

In a past issue of his Breakpoint commentary, Chuck Colson observes, “This fallen world is dangerous, and out of mercy, God has given legitimate governments the power of the sword to protect us. The just war doctrine, derived from Scriptures, enables us to evaluate and hold our national leaders accountable when they must use the sword.

Jesus Christ is Lord..jpg

“We know from 2 Chronicles that King Jehoshaphat of Judah was a great warrior with a large, seasoned army. But when Jehoshaphat was confronted with an invasion, instead of riding out to meet the invaders, he led the people in prayer. “We do not know what to do,” he prayed, “but our eyes are on you.” And God’s deliverance came in a thoroughly unexpected way. Jehoshaphat’s army didn’t fire a shot.

“Christians should follow the example of Jehoshaphat in prayer. Yes, we have the finest fighting men in the world… But remember that prayer is mightier than our armies, and God alone gives the victory or defeat.”
