Gooooooooooooooooooooood Evening brethren, peace unto you and the grace of our lord Jesus be with you. May the Almighty God of hosts stay ever with you this evening and thank you, for joining us here at ‘The Church of Jerusalem and the Christian Nation’ for worship and praise. Let us begin as is our tradition every day here at the Nation, by reading from the word of God. Amen………
Psalm 56. 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
1 Be merciful unto me, O God, for man would swallow me up; he, fighting daily, oppresseth me.
2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up, for they are many that fight against me, O Thou Most High.
3 In the time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee.
4 In God I will praise His word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
5 Every day they wrest my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps as they lie in wait for my soul.
7 Shall they escape by iniquity? In Thine anger cast down the people, O God.
8 Thou countest my wanderings; put Thou my tears into Thy bottle: are they not in Thy book?
9 When I cry unto Thee, then shall mine enemies turn back! This I know, for God is for me.
10 In God will I praise His word; in the Lord will I praise His word.
11 In God have I put my trust; I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
12 Thy vows are upon me, O God; I will render praises unto Thee.
13 For Thou hast delivered my soul from death; wilt Thou not deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
With the going down of the Sun, we remember again our Lord God’s commandment……
Exodus 20:8-11. King James Version (KJV)
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
O eternal God and Father, thou art not a god of the dead, but of the living, for all live in you, so rest under the earth in their chambers: we ask your fatherly goodness, you will not let us death of violence and sting but in our Son, who is the way, the truth, and the life, in right faith and good conscience, graciously preserved with your spirit, that we may live Christian, and selflessly depart from this jammerthal and fall asleep in peace and joy, and to rest gently until you open our graves, and through the trumpet voice wakes us to life again through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Have a great day Brothers and Sisters of the CJCN, The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. Amen.
