The Church of Jerusalem and the Christian Nation Preaching the word of God.

Evensong, Prayer and Psalm.

By Pastor Don Roy Hemingway.

Gooooooooooooooooooooood Evening brethren, peace unto you and the grace of our lord Jesus be with you. May the Almighty God of hosts stay ever with you this evening and thank you, for joining us here at ‘The Church of Jerusalem and the Christian Nation’ for worship and praise. Let us begin as is our tradition every day here at the Nation, by reading from the word of God. Amen………

Evening Psalm.

Psalm 61. 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

From the end of the earth will I cry unto Thee when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For Thou hast been a shelter for me and a strong tower from the enemy.

I will abide in Thy tabernacle for ever; I will trust in the refuge of Thy wings. Selah

For Thou, O God, hast heard my vows; Thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear Thy name.

Thou wilt prolong the king’s life, and his years shall be as many generations.

He shall abide before God for ever; O prepare mercy and truth, that they may preserve him.

So will I sing praise unto Thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

Evening Prayer.

Abide with us, Lord, for it is evening and the day is far spent;
abide with us, and with your whole church. Abide with us in the evening of the day,
in the evening of life, in the evening of the world. Abide with us in your grace and mercy, in Holy Word and Sacrament, in your comfort and your blessing.
Abide with us in the night of distress and fear, in the night of doubt and temptation,
in the night of bitter death, when these shall overtake us. Abide with us and all your faithful ones, O Lord, in time and in eternity.  In Jesus we pray, Amen.

Blessing.

Have a great day Brothers and Sisters of the CJCN, The Lord bless you and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. Amen.
