Evensong, Psalm and Prayer.
By Senior Pastor Don Roy Hemingway.
Pastor Don Roy. Gooooooooooooooooooooood Evening brethren, peace unto you and the grace of our lord Jesus be with you. May the Almighty God of hosts stay ever with you this evening and thank you, for joining us here at ‘The Church of Jerusalem and the Christian Nation’ for worship and praise. Let us begin as is our tradition every day here at the Nation, by reading from the word of God. Amen………
Psalm 6. 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
1 O Lord, rebuke me not in Thine anger, neither chasten me in Thy hot displeasure.
2 Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are vexed.
3 My soul is also sore vexed, but Thou, O Lord, how long?
4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul! O save me for Thy mercies’ sake!
5 For in death there is no remembrance of Thee; in the grave who shall give Thee thanks?
6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night I make my bed to swim, I water my couch with my tears.
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity, for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9 The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.
10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sorely vexed; let them turn back and be put to shame suddenly.
O eternal God and Father, you are not the God of the dead but of the living, and all who put their trust in you, who rest in their chambers under the earth, live in you.
Be merciful to us, dear Father, do not let us be afraid of the power and sting of death,
but keep us in the true faith in your dear Son, who is the way, the truth, and the life.
Uphold us with your Holy Spirit, and give us a clear conscience, that we may live our Christian lives, and finally fall asleep in peace and joy when we leave this valley of tears,
and rest in peace until you open our graves and awaken us with the sound of the last trumpet; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Have a great day Brothers and Sisters of the CJCN, The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace, now and evermore, Amen.
